EVE Online is a persistent world massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by CCP Games. Players of Eve Online can participate in a number of in-game professions and activities, including mining, piracy, manufacturing, trading, exploration, and combat (both player versus environment and player versus player). The character advancement system is based upon passively training skills in real time, even while not logged into the game.
I played EVE between 2003 and circa 2008, when I quit the game so that I could finish university. It was that addictive! I was a pirate, industrialist, war-monger and supplied both sides of the war to turn a profit in this game. It was once of the most complex MMORPGs to date and it's difficult for me to go back because I had to let go of all my accounts and progress when I had to choose between the game and finishing a degree.
I reactivated one of my oldest accounts (that wasn't worth selling). It dates back to May of 2003 which would have been the alpha/beta period of EVE. The character was predominantly Caldari and still had a couple of frigates, cruisers and a battleship. Last night I jumped back into EVE and spent some time creating my female Chinese persona. Now I get to immortalise her even if I don't return to the EVE universe.
Madeline Wong is a retired Caldari Navy officer. Her flagship is a Caldari Raven battleship armed to the teeth with missiles and torpedos. I wanted her to be middle aged, casual, sexy and have a danger vibe. I think she looks good! My understanding of how lighting works has helped in the character creation tool.
