Overcharged Artifact Weapons
The second phase towards the launch of the Battle for Azeroth expansion began. Artifact weapons could now be overcharged to maximum without any effort. All weapons are now level 126 and will continue to rise in the weeks leading up to the launch of the new expansion.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to make my characters any more powerful than they already are, with the exception of a small boost in health points. But maybe I can finally do the annoying mage tower quest?
Last night I finished a Mythic 16 with Cleesan, Juster, Caylith and one other TOG. It was hard but not demoralising. My healing per second was low though. I could not keep everyone up so had to prioritise myself and the tank. Even though my armor should be at the appropriate level, i never received any relics (above 910) to bolster my artifact weapon to Mythic 16.
I've been at 950+ gear score for weeks now and i've not seen a single 950+ relic that's needed for my weapon. You have to do heroic raids which are difficult to get into without a regular group, even then my bonus rolls have been junk AP rubbish every time. The only other opportunity is the rare chance of a titan forged item in the weekly chest from a Mythic+ dungeon (which again was random and you could get junk crap, rather than things that you needed to improve). The legion expansion totally stinks and I'm glad it is over!
This is why i hated Artifact Weapons. It was completely random and demoralising to know that skill could not overtake the limitations of gear score. This is why i quit WoW Legion right at the start. They made it a frustrating and long grind to the peak of gear score, rather than make it possible for skilled players to exceed the limitations of equipment potential. Is this what Blizzard considers fun in 2018?
Suitable gear at the launch of Legion was frustrating to obtain, with some people getting multiple legendaries with in the first month and others getting none at all. This further increased the gear gap even between members of the same raid group. I hated the system so much I just uninstalled WoW and dived right into Black Desert Online!
BDO offered a much needed break from WOW. The game had so many features (whilst not always perfect), it gave players different opportunities to excel without being funnelled down the same rabbit hole (gear score). I spent three months carting goods around the BDO game world!
We finished the Mythic 16 because the tank was just so well geared, but Cleesan was also an excellent player who knew exactly how to play his Demon Hunter.
Holy Priest Best In Slot Legendary
I got my next Best In Slot legendary items for the holy priest.
A few weeks ago I got the first item - Velen's Future Sight trinklet which gives a small boost to overall healing, and redirects overhealing to nearby players. Exceptionally useful for divine hymn healing and words of healing.
Velen's Future Sight
Use: Increase all healing done by 15% and causes 50% of overhealing on players to be redistributed to up to 3 nearby injured allies, for 10 sec. (1 Min, 15 Sec Cooldown)
The piece I received with the TOG raid was the X'anshi, Shroud of Archbishop Benedictus. This wonderful piece of equipment is a life saver for the party and to cheese through awful and unlucky game mechanics. Basically after the Holy Priest dies, they activate their Angel Form / Spirit of Redemption, which allows them to exclusively heal their party for a time before finally taking their dirt nap. With this legendary item you revive with full health instead!
Definitely the Best In Slot legendary item!
X'anshi, Shroud of Archbishop Benedictus
Equip: After Spirit of Redemption expires, you will revive at up to 100% health, based on your effectiveness during Spirit of Redemption. After reviving, you cannot benefit from Spirit of Redemption for 10 min.
Getting my two BiS legendaries right at the end of the expansion. Typical. We'll be chucking them into the void bank after Battle For Azeroth launches because new green items in the next expac will probably overpower our Legion legendaries.
