A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a framework for gathering, managing, and analyzing data. My current role involves managing land, property, and a variety of spatial information related to the operations of NSW local government.

I will document GIS methodologies or techniques on this page. It's mostly a reminder for myself because many features in GIS software can be unintuitve and complex. Plus you could spend an entire working career on a single product without having used every functionality available in the product! I like to switch between ESRI ArcGIS and QGIS depending on what the work involves.
